When I was working the back of Russell and Dug’s queue by the Tree of Life, there was a family with two young boys, one of which had special needs. The mother pulled me aside and asked if I could have the characters stand completely still with one foot in front of the other. Apparently, her son was terrified of the characters unless they stood like that. I relayed the information to the attendant working at the front of the line, then took the boy’s brother over to the lemurs and told him a bunch of cool facts about them. He was so excited! By the time the family got to the front of the line, both boys were having a blast, giggling and playing with the attendants, the PhotoPass photographer and Russell and Dug.
