One of my favorite things about being a PhotoPass Photographer at Magic Kingdom was taking pictures of proposals. One time, I was in the Rose Garden, and I had a guest come up to me telling me that he was planning on proposing to his girlfriend later that evening during the fireworks. So later on that day during Wishes, he and his girlfriend came up to me and took photos during the fireworks. In the middle of this, the guest handed me his PhotoPass card, and they took more photos. Then he got down on one knee and proposed and she said yes! She started crying in disbelief, and they hugged. It was really magical, especially because the fireworks were still going. After this proposal, the happy couple thanked me and continued to watch the rest of the fireworks. About an hour later, they came up to me again and took more photos. Later on that night, I was on the Tomorrowland bridge and they saw me again and asked me to take even more photos of them. This was during True Love Week, so hearts were projected onto the castle, making it the perfect backdrop. They told me I was their engagement photographer, and it really made being a Cast Member worth it. My passion for being a PhotoPass Photographer burned brighter knowing that I was part of a couple’s happily ever after.
